No parking in the village 

There is NO PARKING IN THE VILLAGE so you are encouraged to walk, cycle or come by public transport. 

The nearest car park is by Ham House at the bottom of Ham Street by the river. River lane is a 10min walk along the tow path from there. 

Getting here

The gardens are located on River Lane TW10 7AG, Petersham Road TW10 7AD and nearby. Venues will be signposted.

By bus from Kingston

65 and 371 towards Richmond, alight at Sudbrook Lane/Fox & Duck.

By bus from Richmond

65 or 371 towards Kingston, alight at The Dysart.

By train

Richmond Station is only 20 mins from Waterloo via South West Trains and also served by the District Line on the Underground.
Buses 65 & 371 from Richmond Station stop at Petersham Village - alight off at the Dysart.

By ferry

Hammerton’s Ferry is a foot/bike ferry across the River Thames from Twickenham towpath by Marble Hill House to Ham House. River Lane is just 200 yards along the towpath towards Richmond. More Info

Dogs

As much as we love dogs we regret they are not allowed in the gardens, apart from blind and hearing dogs of course. 

Walk along the river from Richmond 

From Richmond Station it's a scenic 30 min walk over Richmond Green and along the towpath beside the Thames to River Lane where the first gardens are located. Google map

Disabled access

Many of the gardens are wheel chair accessible but unfortunately many are not, having narrow paths and steps, especially the smaller gardens.
