Finding Petersham village
The village is located alongside the River Thames between Richmond & Kingston in an area known as London's Arcadia. The gardens are located on River Lane and nearby.

Walk from Richmond Town Centre
From Richmond Station it's a scenic 25 min walk along the towpath beside the river to River Lane which leads into the village. You can see the towpath marked on this map.
By Train & Bus
Richmond Station is only 20 mins from Waterloo via South West Trains and also served by the District Line on the Underground.
Buses 65 & 371 from Richmond Station stop at Petersham Village - get off at the Dysart Arms bus stop.

There is a lovely cycle trail from Richmond station to Richmond Park via Petersham and Ham House. Route
Hammerton’s Ferry is a foot/bike ferry across the River Thames from Twickenham towpath by Marble Hill House to Ham House . River Lane is just 200 yards along the towpath towards Richmond. More Info
Many of the gardens are wheel chair accessible but unfortunately many are not, having narrow paths and steps, especially the smaller gardens.
As much as we love dogs we regret they are not allowed in the gardens, apart from blind and hearing dogs of course.
